Koh Samui is the second largest and most famous Island of Thailand with an area of 228.7 km2. The population is around 50,000 with Buddhism being the main religion
until the 1970s, the Island was known as the largest coconut plantation in the world, but now tourism is the main source of income.
Samui has a wide appeal due to its beautiful beaches with palm trees, the crystal-clear water, the cozy villages and above all, a wonderful nature.
It is therefore frequented by all kinds of travelers, from budget backpackers to the mega-wealthy Hollywood celebrities.
The island has a lot to offer such as the many different tours, the colorful temples and water sports activities.
The average temperature on Koh Samui is around 29 degrees Celsius so don’t forget to bring your sunscreen!
